We will arrive at our first stop, the Taray viewpoint, from where we will have a panoramic view of the entire Sacred Valley.
We will continue to the Pisaq archaeological park, entering at the first shift at 9:00 am for a visit lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes.
We will return to the town of Pisaq to observe the goldsmithing works.
Next stop is the town of Urubamba, where we will have lunch at the designated restaurant.
Finally, we will reach the Ollantaytambo archaeological park to explore for 1 hour and 15 minutes before returning to Cusco.
City Tour
The Cusco city tour is a 4-hour and 30-minute specialized tour designed to explore the imperial city of Cusco, the capital of the ancient Inca Empire. The tour includes visits to the city’s main cathedral, the Inca temple of Qorikancha, the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the religious center of Qenqo, and the Pucapucara ruins.
QORICANCHA – SACSAYHUAMAN – PUCA PUCARA – TAMBOMACHAY
We will visit Qorikancha, «Korikancha» (Golden Enclosure), now the Convent of Santo Domingo, a place that houses one of the most important religious centers of the Inca era. Sacsayhuaman (Head of the Puma) is a majestic site with impressive stonework, with the largest stone weighing 120 tons. Our next destination is Q’enqo (Labyrinth), a religious center dedicated to the worship of the Earth and, according to some theories, to funerary rituals.
Our next stops are about 10 minutes by bus from Q’enqo. The first site is Puca Pucara (Red Place), which was used as a military and control center, as well as a mandatory stop for all travelers during the Inca period.
Our final destination is Tambomachay. Tambomachay (Temple of Water) was used as a center for worship and rituals dedicated to water.
Then, we will take you to the Cusco airport to catch your return flight.
