Enchanting Peru 8 Days (With Hotel)

Day 1

We will pick you up at Lima airport and then transfer you to your hotel in Miraflores.

Day 2

We will begin our tour by picking you up at your hotel. We will enjoy a journey exploring Lima in its three stages: Ancestral Lima, Colonial Lima, and Modern Lima.

Our first stop in the city will be a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid,” an ancient ceremonial and archaeological center built in the 4th century A.D. and considered a Sacred Village of the Incas. Next, we will head to Lima’s Historic Center, where we will admire what was once the ancient «Lima Cuadrada» and over fifty monuments and colonial buildings. Highlights include the Paseo de la República, San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, and the Basilica Cathedral, among others.

We will continue the tour by visiting the Central Reserve Bank Museum, where we will admire the Collection of Peruvian Treasures, including ceramics, gold objects, and textiles from various pre-Columbian cultures. We will also explore the San Francisco Monumental Complex, which showcases the most significant display of colonial religious art in the Americas. Its main attraction is the visit to the underground crypts known as the Catacombs.

Finally, we will head to the Contemporary Zone of Lima, where we will observe the main buildings and residential areas, such as El Olivar in San Isidro, Miraflores, Larcomar, and the Park of Love.

Note:
The Central Reserve Bank Museum is closed to the public on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and all day on Monday.

Day 3

We will pick you up from your hotel in Miraflores to head to Lima airport and board your flight to Cusco.

Once in Cusco, we will pick you up and take you to your hotel (we recommend arriving in Cusco before 10:00 AM). Then, we will begin the City Tour, starting with Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the Santo Domingo Convent. Afterward, we will visit the archaeological sites near the city of Cusco: Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay.

Day 4

Sacred Valley of the Incas – Overnight in Aguas Calientes

We will begin our journey at 7:45 AM, with our guide explaining the new regulations to enhance our experience at the archaeological sites.

Our first stop will be the Taray viewpoint, where we will enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Sacred Valley.

Next, we will visit the Pisaq Archaeological Park, entering during the first time slot at 9:00 AM for a guided tour lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes.

We will then return to the town of Pisaq to observe traditional silversmithing work.

Our next stop is the city of Urubamba, where we will have lunch at a designated restaurant.

Finally, we will arrive at the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Park for a 1-hour and 15-minute visit. Afterward, we will take the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town).

Day 5

Machu Picchu

The day will begin in Aguas Calientes, where we will board a bus that will take us to the citadel of Machu Picchu. We will arrive in time to witness the sunrise, which starts at approximately 6:00 AM.

Next, we will enjoy a guided tour of this breathtaking site for about 2 hours, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Temple of the Three Windows, the Sun Dial, and more. After the tour, you will have free time to explore areas of personal interest on your own.

We will then take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 6

Rainbow Mountain

Between 4:20 AM and 4:30 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel. We will travel for about 2 hours by transport and then stop to enjoy breakfast. Afterward, we will continue for another hour to reach the starting point of the hike.

The hike takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Upon arrival, you will marvel at the stunning colors of Rainbow Mountain. After taking in the views, we will return to the transport to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.

We will arrive back in Cusco between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.

Maximum Altitude: 5,080 meters above sea level (16,666 feet).

Then, we will transfer you to the bus station to board the bus to Puno.

Day 7

Puno (Uros and Taquile Islands)

Arrival at the terminal at 5:00 AM. At the scheduled time, we will proceed with the transfer to the start of the tour, which begins at 7:00 AM.

At the port of Puno (Lake Titicaca), you will board the boat to visit the floating Uros Islands for 45 minutes, where you will observe the customs and crafts of the island.

Next, we will take the boat to visit Taquile Island, where we will have lunch. This island offers spectacular landscapes, as well as rich ethnic, cultural, and archaeological heritage.

After the visit, we will return by boat to the port of Puno, where you will be transferred back to your hotel.
